Dual Action Springs

Upper and lower action springs along with their tension adjustment bring precise control over both forward and rearward stilt walking actions, resulting in a close duplication of the user’s natural ankle movement. This level of control brings easier balance, greater control, and less fatigue for the user. Properly adjusted, Ulka Stilts™ act more like an extension of the user’s natural stride and balance.

Replaceable Screw-On Soles

Mount to our Super-tough nylon floor plates for easier field replacement of worn soles to help maintain sole traction and walking comfort.

Upper Strut Tube Cap/Plugs

Provide tube reinforcement around the leg band bolts and protect the tubing ends. Lock Nuts are featured on all crucial connecting points for greater stilt reliability and safety.

Self-Locking Strap Buckles

Combined with heavy duty webbing provide enhanced comfort and security. For less slip and greater stilt safety. Ulka Stilts™ also provide the added comfort of wider one-inch foot straps.

Adjustable Heel Plate

For a perfect fit, two bolts in the heel bracket attach it onto the footplate and are used to adjust the distance between them to any of three sizes.

Padded Leg Braces

Dense foam padding cushions the upper calf in the leg support whilst the straps are firmly buckled to the strut tubes for superior control & comfort.

Captive Lock Washers on Extended Shank Wing Bolts

For improved safety, lock washers help assure wing bolts remain tight once the user has properly tightened them. The extended shank dramatically reduces adjustment hole wear of the extension tubes. Less adjustment hole wear means less wobble, greater stability and longevity.
